"Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)"
This is the second great sign of the coming of Christ and the end of the age. This seems to be a repeating sign in that it has occurred twice that we know of and will happen a third time to signal the end. It happened with Antiochus Epiphanes and the Syrian Army which was the near fulfillment for Daniel. It happened with Titus Vespasian and the Roman Army in AD 70 , and it will happen again in the end when the Anti-Christ sets himself up against God and the people of God in the Temple in Jerusalem.
