"I love those who love me and those who diligently seek me will find me"
The discussion is about wisdom and this verse clearly states that God will make sure that the wise choice, action, and direction will be found by those who consistently seek it out.
It is not hidden from us – if you diligently examine the choices before you. Get counsel from wise people; examine the relationship between each choice and the people and situations around you; and you will find wisdom and know what to do.
There is an interesting play on words in the Septuagint in this verse. It says that God or wisdom phileo (loves) those who agape (love) Him. Wisdom comes as a friend and the companion when we have surrendered to it first; when we realize how desperately we need it and we have chosen God and wisdom to meet our needs. This is similar to Jesus and Peter and His asking him if he loved Him three times.
